In this comprehensive session, you'll learn about McGill University's Online Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity. This 15-credit program offered exclusively online allows students or professionals holding a bachelor's degree (or higher) in the areas of information studies, computer science, information technology, software engineering, management information systems, to prepare for work as a cybersecurity professional.

All courses are offered online and the program may be completed within eight to ten months, or within a maximum of three years. Our graduate certificate covers a spectrum of cybersecurity topics (e.g., network security, operating systems security, application security, database security, basic cryptography, advanced secure protocols, and the management of information security). Using real-world business cases and simulations, students will develop skills in assessing the information security needs of an organization and formulating short- and long-term cybersecurity strategies and policies.
