    Discover graduate-level studies in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, including thesis-based research programs and the M.Sc.A. in Translational Biomedical Engineering (non-thesis).

    Thesis-based research at the Masters or PhD level in Biomedical Engineering can be conducted in the areas of: Devices & Sensors, Modeling & AI, Imaging, Molecules & Materials, and Living Systems Engineering.

    The M.Sc.A. in Translational Biomedical Engineering (non-thesis) enables students to become medical technology industry professionals. Key program elements include (but are not limited to) leading the design, development, and commercialization of biomedical technologies. Our 45-credit professional training program with core courses taught by industry-leading experts and complementary courses taught by world-class professors in biomedical engineering can be completed in 12-to-16 months. The program capstone is an 18-week experiential industry internship which applies coursework in a real-world setting.
