The Early Years Matter. Be Prepared to Make a Difference!

Applications open on September 15, 2026
Deadlines are January 15 (international applicants) and April 1 (Canadian applicants), 2027.

This innovative one-year (15-credit) certificate, offered through the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology and supported by the Daniel and Monica Gold Centre for Early Childhood Development, provides advanced training for professionals working with young children ages 3-8 who have developmental, learning, social-emotional, and behavioural needs.

The program is designed for educators, childcare professionals, psychologists, social workers, and related practitioners. Participants will learn to design and implement interventions that address cognitive, social, and emotional development, employ the Reggio Emilia approach and praxis, and foster literacy in the early years.
