Join us for this online session to learn more about the unique features of our MSc in Agricultural Economics program!

Economic systems touch our lives in many ways every day and are central to society at home and around the world. The Master of Science in Agricultural Economics allows students to specialize, by way of their research program, in the areas of agribusiness, resource economics, development, finance, marketing, trade, policy, or environmental economics. Students will gain opportunities for internships in international organizations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and more.

The program provides students with a strong foundation to pursue higher academic studies in the aforementioned research areas. Graduates of this program have also found employment with environmental organizations within the government (e.g., Environment and Climate Change Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Dairy Farmers of Canada, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada), non-profit organizations, and the private sector, including the multi-billion-dollar agri-food industry.

McGill University’s Macdonald Campus is a globally recognized research hub, offering graduate programs across disciplines in biosciences, agriculture, environment, food, nutrition, and health. More than one-quarter of its students are graduate students, creating a vibrant and collaborative academic community.
