    The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (DKPE) is home to interdisciplinary graduate programs focusing on human movement. Research conducted in our department aims to understand and promote exercise, sport, and health from physiological, neuromechanical, and psychosocial perspectives. Our graduate students work under the guidance of world-renowned experts and gain practical experience through collaborative teams and research labs. 

    The DKPE offers thesis-based MSc, MA, and PhD programs in 5 areas of specialization: 

    1. Biomechanics and Neuroscience 
    2. Exercise Physiology 
    3. Sport and Exercise Psychology
    4. Adapted Physical Activity
    5. Social Aspects of Sport, Health, & Physical Education 

    The interdisciplinary nature of our program welcomes students from diverse backgrounds such as Kinesiology, Physical Education, Physiology, Psychology, Neuroscience, Experimental Medicine, Education, Nutrition, Sociology, Anthropology and Cultural Studies.
